I viewed a few videos, and none of them show the notation portion of the app, creating the actual melody of the song (where are the notes and measures?). How do I write in the melody with this app? Also is it possible to export the song to my computer?

There is a video that shows how to create melody sections (called "phrases" in this app). Look at around 3 minutes in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLNDW3qxG0I
As for exporting, you can "Share" any recording via Facebook, Twitter, and e-mail, so e-mailing it to yourself should work.
