Topic: Downloading Recordings

Hey, Just downloaded the recording add on.  First I must say this is a great feature and with that added guitar volume control it works pretty good.

I was able to transfer songs to my touch (4th gen) no problem and then record over top of them, but for some reason when using the Wifi to download them to my computer, it fails to download.  On the screen I am right clicking on the "download" link and then "save link as", but the download doesn't happen.   It looks like the download starts, but then ends with 0 bytes downloaded.  Using Firefox 3.6.10 and Windows Vista 64 bit.

I should add that the track plays fine on the Touch..

Any help?

Hi Bbeezzerr,

Not sure what happened, looks like a bug snuck in at the last minute. We'll try to get a fix posted to Apple in the next couple of days to fix this.

I'll wait for that fix.  Just have to add that I think your app is great and the support is awesome.  I've tried the other similar apps, but my son and I both think this is the best one.

One possible short term fix is to click the download link and then edit the URL to remove the /Backing.

i.e. http://10.0.1.16:2112/Backing/Rhythm.wav

to: http://10.0.1.16:2112/Rhythm.wav

Well that doesn't seem to work for me.  Keep getting the 404 Not Found error.  Tried with both Firefox and Explorer with the same results.

I guess I'll have to wait.

Hey Jerry, and anyone else have similar problems.

I got the work around to work finally.  My file name had spaces in it... not sure why that would be a problem, but when I renamed the file without spaces (do this in the app), I am able to use the work around described by Jerry.

Good find. Both issues have been fixed and the update was submitted to Apple on Tuesday. It's been taking a little over a week for updates to go through so hopefully before the end of next week.
