Hi, are you planning something specific for bass guitar in the next release?
Anything in particular you are looking for? We are putting the final touches on a 2.0 update to the app which includes 4 more effects. You can read all about it here: http://www.facebook.com/notes/ishred-gu 5279534430
Well, I believe that's it, I can use all those effects to create my own (that's really cool).
Another feature that would be awesome is the ability to record while I'm playing with music (jamming). Do you think it would be possible to record only what I'm playing, and not the music itself? That would be a killer feature.
Thanks!
That's a curious and interesting feature request. I don't think I've heard it before. Why are you interested in that? How would you use it?
Well, I would record my jamming session, and then only listen to my bass line, without the song I was jamming with. This way makes it a lot easier to see where I should improve some phrase or passages, or whether my right hand is doing it right, or even to spot some ideas I could have had during the jam :-)
Hey Charlie, I just found a way to doing what I wanted (using the new update): if I start playing a song using the native iPod app (not using the "music" tab), I can switch back to iShred Live and start recording my playing. Wonderful!
Another cool tip: I downloaded another app to train scales (this app has the ability to play a song without the bass line, in any key I choose), and I was able to switch back to iShred Live and record my training! Perfect, thanks for the app.
Hey, I just now caught your response. Sweet! Thanks for sharing your feedback, and enjoy!
What about an actual set of bass amp controls that allow for mor direct adjustment of the bass's tone in terms of mid, bottom etc?
Also, when I go into access a song from the iPod library on my iPad, it doesn't offer me access to my playlists. Any reason why?
Thanks in advance for your reply, this is a great app!
Hi Mrcenzo,
Yes, that is very unusual and we haven't figured out why it's not showing the playlist. It the exact same code and calls as used on the iPhone, where the playlist shows like it should. I suspect it's an iPad sdk bug that will hopefully be fixed in the 4.3 update.

Thanks Jerry, I'll keep my eyes peeled for an update. Any plans for a bass EQ or tone controls?
Sorry about that, I replied to you, but apparently only in my mind... ":^)
We do have more effects planned, EQ is among them and various forms of tone control. We will keep your requests in mind during development.
