Topic: No external audio input

I Electric acoustic and the message on the bottom of the i phone says no external audio input I have the i phone ear plugs in and plugged in to my guitar can some give me some tips

Does your acoustic have a pre-amp? If so, check the batteries.

If you plug the ear plugs straight into the iPhone does the message go away and do you get audio via the mic?

yes it has a 9 volt battery in the pre amp will try a new battery
Yes the message goes away when the ear plugs are fitted to the phone
