Topic: Going from iPad to Guitar Amp While Using GuitarConnect Cable?

Hello,

I would like to purchase your GuitarConnect cable to go with my just downloaded, iShred LIVE. However, I need to take the output of the iPad, while using iShred LIVE and plug into my guitar amplifier, which requires a 1/4" phone jack.

You do mention the following cable for doing just that.

However, the Aux cable shown in the URL shows that both ends are 1/8".

Two questions:
1) While using the GuitarConnect cable, plugged into the iPad, is there room for an output cable to go to my amplifier?

2) Can you please recommend the proper cable to go from the iPad to a guitar amp, while the GuitarConnect cable is plugged into the iPad

Actually the cable is from Griffin Technology, we make iShred LIVE which works with their cable (and others). Their support is at: http://www.griffintechnology.com/support

That being said, you should be able to pick up a 1/4" to 1/8" adaptor like this one:

These are probably available at a local electronics/music gear store. You would use your regular guitar cable to go from the adaptor to the amp. You'll be going from a stereo output (although the guitar sound coming out is mono, on both channels) and taking it to the mono input of your amp.

I appreciate the links you have provided. All I need to do at this point is to purchase the GuitarConnect cable, which I will do shortly.
