Topic: Some suggestions for AirPlay and Playlist, etc.

Hello. This is Satoru Maruiwa from Japan, A software developper, A digital music performer, An iShred freak, And plays it on streets and Live houses around Tokyo.
I love iShred very very much.  I think this is the best guitar app ever on iPhone !

I have some suggestions for this app:

* I wish the AirPlay should play songs longer time. (Currently this maybe about 24 sec.)
  or Maybe the users would like to choose the length on the option menu, like
  "Play -> 30sec / 1min / Whole".  (I must select "Whole!")

* Add a TextField search for the song titles on the top of Playlist.
Maybe the every people who make so many songs on iShred (like me!) must need this function.

* Better reverb effector (like the audio framework "CoreAudio.AUMatrixReverb" etc.)

* The Default setting for "Setting -> ButtonLock = ON" should better to be "OFF" for the beginners.

* Lyrics indicator (Like a Karaoke, importing from TEXT file.)

Fix some bugs please:
* Sometimes a string can't be played.
* Sometimes the effector settings would be changed.

I really appreciate if some of them will be applied on the next version.

Great to hear from such a big iShred fan! We really appreciate all of the feedback and suggestions.

I understand most of your ideas, but did have a couple of questions for clarification.

- why do you think beginners shouldn't have button lock?
- where would you see the lyrics being shown and how are they scrolled?
- do you have a repeatable test example for the "sometimes string doesn't play" bug?
- can you tell me more about the "effector settings changed"?

Thank you very much for your prompt reply.
I gotta explain for clarification.

- why do you think beginners shouldn't have button lock?

Because when I first time played iShred, just didn't recognize this option and I could not enjoy the staccato and mute sound like a real guitar. So that setting wasn't possible to play Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit".

- where would you see the lyrics being shown and how are they scrolled?

Eg. indicate the 1 or 2 lines white text on the semi-transparent UIView of full-screen, then shake the iPhone -> Scroll to next line field.
I think its a little bit technically difficult. And I dont know if its possible to catch events from the guitar panel behind the semi-transparent UIView.
Sorry. Maybe you have other better ideas.

- do you have a repeatable test example for the "sometimes string doesn't play" bug?

Mmm... It is not known exactly when.
But most frequently, When I'm playing strings very very hard and choking them violently on "Fret" mode, Suddenly one string stop the sound. (it just feel like cutting a string of real guitar!).
But once I play "Chord" mode, the string comes back.

Im Sorry. It is not known exactly when too..
I am not sure but when I switch to other app, take long time, and came back to iShred, or I change the song by the bottom arrow, then it occurs few times ever. I dont know exactly why.
But This is not a critical bug. When I notice something, I will let you know again.
