What device are you running and do you have the latest version of iShred? (1.99.2)

No, Apple keeps track of what apps you bought with a given iTunes account. In fact as long as you use the same account iShred will work on any other iOS device you might have: iPhone, iPad, other iPods.
Sorry to pester you, but what version of iPod? Just want to try and replicate the issue here. Alternately if you want to send us a crash report I'd be happy to tell you how to find it and where to email it.
I have version 5.0 (9A334). I would like to send you a crash report.
Aww dang. I deleted/reloaded it. Got the player back but lost all my songs that I created... :`-(
i spoke too soon. the player showed up and when i pressed ipod, it crashed the app. and ishred crashes everytime i press player (can't even get to the ipod screen to pick a song).

What version iPod are you running: 2nd gen, 3rd, or 4th gen (w/camera)?
I am not updated to version 5.0.1 with still the same problem. ishred plays but as soon as i try to load a song to play with, it crashes.
i have the next to the latest version of the ipod. the newest version being the one with the best camera.
i am running iShred v1.99.2
Please help as i miss strumming around with this along with my ipod songs!
Sorry to keep hounding you, but to help us narrow it down could you tell us what model of iPod you are using?
Alternately (better option) you can send a crash report to our email support@frontierdesign.com
Here's how to find the crash report:

Would love to get you going again. Thanks!
ok, it took a while to find the crash report, but i've sent it to support@frontierdesign.com
thanks for the help, miss playing iShred (need my fix)!
Great, we got the crash log and will figure it out. Thanks!

any luck?
Sorry, I apologize for not getting back to you sooner.
Have you tried this with version 1.99.3 yet? If not, could you and then if it crashes send that crash log? I can't seem to get the symbols to work (tells us where in the code it was) with the crash log you sent for 1.99.2.
Thanks.

After deleting a whole bunch of old code, we finally got your crash log to show what was wrong. Figured out the error and will have the fix in the next version, 2.0.
Thanks again for sending that in and for your patience.
The fix will be in the next version.
For anyone having this problem a short term fix is to look for songs in your library that don't have an Artist or Title name and to set them. Prior to iOS 5 these "empty" fields returned a different value.
Version 2.0 of iShred is now available. Fixes the music player issue as well as provide a bunch of new features to explore!
I just got the latest version of iShred and have the exact same problem. Using an iPhone 4s with the latest iOS. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iShred with the same results. Suggestions???
Hi Bob,
You are getting a crash when trying to open the iPod section of the music player? Or is it when you select a song? Running an iPhone 4S here, with version 2.0.1 of iShred I am able to open and play songs from that so just trying to figure out what might be different with your setup.
Earlier in this thread I posted a link on how to find the crash logs and where to send them. Please do that and we'll try to figure out what's going on here.
-Jerry
Hi Jerry,
When I first installed iShred it happened when I attempted to select a song. After that it crashed every time I tried to access the player (More|Music). However, I just updated to 2.3.0 last night and that appeared to fix this problem. Thanks for the quick reply!
Bob
Phew! ":^)
Thanks for the update.
